「while..」

Meaning

◉ while～

◉ at the same time～

◉ It means that while doing an action, you are also doing another action at the same time

◉ “beside” .the same as “側 (そば)”。

◉ 「at the corner」。

Example Sentences

① 彼（かれ）は医者（いしゃ）の傍（かたわ）ら、大学（だいがく）の教授（きょうじゅ）もしている。

Kare wa isha no katawara, daigaku no kyōju mo shite iru

Besides being a doctor, he is also a university professor。

② 彼女（かのじょ）は仕事（しごと）の傍（かたわ）ら、育児（いくじ）もしています。

Kanojo wa shigoto no katawara, ikuji mo shite imasu

While working, she also raises children。

③ 彼（かれ）は病気（びょうき）の娘（むすめ）の面倒（めんどう）を見（み）てる傍（かたわ）ら、仕事（しごと）も頑張（がんば）っている。

Kare wa byōki no musume no mendō o mi teru katawara, shigoto mo ganbatte iru

④ 消火器（しょうかき）は部屋（へや）の傍（かたわ）らに置（お）いてある。
