「as..」

Meaning

◉ 「as..」「in proportion to..」「with..」

◉ Both the “ます form” and “て form” of the verb indicate that the following will be connected to the “next action or sentence“.

◉ It means “the former has changed for some reason..” and “the result of the latter will also change“.

① 年齢（ねんれい）が重（かさ）なるにつれ、顔（かお）の皺（しわ）がどんどん増（ふ）えてきた。

Nenrei ga kasanaru ni tsure,-gao no shiwa ga dondon fuete kita.

With the increase of age, the wrinkles on the face increase.

② 物価（ぶっか）の上昇（じょうしょう）につれて、家計（かけい）が苦（くる）しくなってきた。

Bukka no jōshō ni tsurete, kakei ga kurushiku natte kita.

With the rise in prices, the family budget has become more and more difficult.

③ 時間（じかん）が経（た）つにつれて、以前（いぜん）の記憶（きおく）もどんどん忘（わす）れていく。

Jikangatatsu ni tsurete, izen no kioku mo dondon wasurete iku.

As time goes by, I gradually forget the memories of the past

④ 地球の温暖化（おんだんか）につれ、氷山（ひょうざん）もゆっくり溶（と）けていく。

Chikyū no ondan-ka ni tsure, hyōzan mo yukkuri tokete iku.

With the warming of the earth, the iceberg is slowly melting.

⑤ 夜（よる）になるにつれ、気温（きおん）もだんだん下（さ）がっていく。

Yoru ni naru ni tsure, kion mo dandan sagatte iku.

As it gets closer to night, the temperature will get lower and lower.

⑥ 時代（じだい）の変化（へんか）につれて、生活（せいかつ）の形態（けいたい）もどんどん変（かわ）わっていく。

Jidai no henka ni tsurete, seikatsu no keitai mo dondon kawatte iku.

As the times change, lifestyles will become more and more different.
