Meaning

◉ not even~
◉ It usually will be followed by “the smallest amount” , which means that “not even one~”.
◉ It usually be used with「たとえ〜」,and used negative form at the last。

Hitori tari tomo, koko kara nigasu na.

② たとえ一秒(いちびょう)たりとも、僕(ぼく)は君(きみ)とのいる時間(じかん)を無駄(むだ)にしたくない。
Tatoe ichi-byōtaritomo, boku wa kimi to no iru jikan o muda ni shitakunai.
Even if it’s a second, I don’t want to waste time that be together with you.

③ 砂漠(さばく)では水(みず)が珍(めずら)しいので、一滴(いってき)たりとも無駄(むだ)にできない
Sabakude wa mizu ga mezurashīnode, hitoshizuku tari tomo muda ni dekinai.
In the desert water is very precious, and even a drop can not be wasted.

④ 先生(せんせい)が言(い)ってること一字(いちじ)たりとも聞(き)き逃(にが)さなかった。
Sensei ga itteru koto ichi-jitaritomo kiki nogasanakatta.
Never miss a word of what the teacher said.

⑤ 契約内容(けいやくないよう)については、少(すこ)したりとも譲(ゆず)るわけにはいかない。
Keiyaku naiyō ni tsuite wa, sukoshitaritomo yuzuru wake ni wa ikanai.
Regarding the content of the contract, even a little bit cannot be negotiable.

⑥ 家(いえ)を建(た)てる時(とき)、1(いっ)センチたりとも測(はかり)り間違(まちが)ってはなりません。
Uchiwotateru-ji, 1-senchitaritomo hakari machigatte wa narimasen.
