Today, I would like to talk about JLPT [N2 Grammar] “〜かのようだ・かのような・かのように(kanoyouda・kanoyouna・kanoyouni)”.
MEANING
- as if〜.
- It looks or feels like ~, although it’s not really.
- “A” is not “B”, but it seems to feel like B.
- It is often used with “まるで”, “あたかも”, or “いかにも”.
- “かの” can be omitted in some cases.
SENTENCE PATTERNS
◉ 〜かのようだ
- Verb（Normal form）＋かのようだ：
Ex：飛んでるかのようだ。
- Na-adj＋(である)＋かのようだ：
Ex：野菜が大好き（である）かのようだ。
- I-adj（Normal form）＋かのようだ：
Ex：誰もいないかのようだ。
- 名詞＋(である)＋かのようだ：
Ex：猫（である）かのようだ。
