Today, I would like to talk about JLPT [N2 Grammar] “〜〜て欲（ほ）しい(tehoshii)”.

THE MEANING OF「〜て欲しい」

SENTENCE PATTERNS

• VERB(te form)＋欲しい：

Ex：俺が作った料理を食べて欲しい。
I want you to eat the food I made.

• VERB(ないで)＋欲しい：

Ex：明日から会社に来ないで欲しい。
I don’t want you to come to the office from tomorrow

• ①Na-adj・Noun(things)＋であって＋欲しい：

Ex：地球が平和であって欲しい。
I want the earth to be peaceful.

• ②Na-adj・Noun(people or animal)＋でいて＋欲しい：

Ex：あなたがずっと健康でいて欲しい。
i want you to stay healthy.

• ①I-adj(things)＋くあって＋欲しい：

Ex：この花がずっと美しくあって欲しい。
I want this flower to be beautiful forever.

• ②I-adj(people or animal)＋くいて＋欲しい：

Ex：あなたがずっと美しくいて欲しい。
I want you to eat the food I made
